Healthier Cinnamon SunButter Puppy Chow (Vegan, Top 8 Free)
This allergy friendly SunButter Puppy Chow with Cinnamon is nut free and naturally sweetened with maple syrup. With far less sugar than traditional Puppy Chow (or Muddy Buddies, as some call it), this snack is a wonderful nut free mix of protein, fat, fiber, and carbs β it's even vegan and top 8 allergen free! Note β use DF butter substitute for Top 8 Free/vegan option.

Ingredients
1/3cupSunButter
1Tablespoonbutter (or DF butter substitute for vegan/Top 8 Free option)
1Tablespoonmaple syrup
1/4teaspoonvanilla extract
1/3cupoats
2teaspoonscinnamon
1/4cuppowdered sugar (plus more for topping, optional)
2 - 2 ΒΌcupsChex cereal
Instructions
Place oats and in food processor and pulse until fine. Stir or whisk in cinnamon and 2 Tbsp powdered sugar and set aside.
Microwave SunButter, butter (or DF butter), maple syrup, and vanilla in glass bowl for 20-30 seconds or until SunButter and butter are soft. Stir to mix.
Add Chex to SunButter mix and stir until well coated.
Add half of the oat flour mix, and gently stir. Add second half and stir until coated, separating any large chunks.
Add remaining powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring to coat in between.
Gently pour out onto wax paper to cool, separating any remaining large clumps. Dust with additional powdered sugar, if desired. Once cooled, store in an air tight container.
Notes
This recipe is for a smaller batch (makes about 3 cups total), but you can easily double it to make a larger batch.
