Ingredients
2apples
2Tbspbutter or margarine
2Tbspbrown sugar
1/2tspcinnamon
Instructions
Wash and peel your apples. Dice into 1/2 inch cubes.
Melt butter or margarine in a frying pan over medium heat.
Add apples and cover, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes (or until they reach desired tenderness).
Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon until apples are evenly coated. Cook another minute or two, stirring frequently, until the brown sugar mixture has thickened. If your sauce remains thin, stir in 1/2 to 1 tsp of flour to thicken it up.
Use as a topping for a variety of foods or, like my 3 year old, enjoy with a fork! ;) (Use caution when serving to children – apples will remain VERY hot for several minutes after cooking).
Notes
Note: If your apples release juices and the sauce is thin, stir 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of flour into hot apples. This will thicken up the sauce.
