Our family breakfast recipes – all made without eggs!
I’ve compiled my family’s favorite tried and true egg free breakfast recipes, just in time for spring and summer! These seasons remind me of warm-weather brunches with family and friends. Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, graduation parties, Father’s Day – brunch is a great meal to serve at any holiday or gathering. I want to show you that brunch without eggs can be just as delicious.
Since we have an egg allergy in our family, I’ve become accustomed to cooking breakfast without eggs. We avoided eggs completely for nearly three years, so I’ve had a bit of practice with egg free baking and recipe creating.
This egg free breakfast recipe roundup has your eggless breakfast needs covered. With a savory egg free breakfast casserole, eggless French Toast, waffles, donuts, apple breakfast cake and more, I’m sure you’ll find something for everyone.
1. Egg Free Sausage Hash Brown Bake
My #1 go-to eggless breakfast option for group brunch or breakfast gatherings is this egg free sausage hash brown bake. As the description says – it’s always a hit. It’s also the most viewed recipe on the blog, and for good reason!
2. Eggless French Toast
That’s right – super simple French Toast with NO eggs! This is my egg-allergic son’s favorite breakfast, and he requests it often. We love ours topped with fresh fruit, real maple syrup, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
3. Egg Free Cinnamon Swirl Bread
We’ve been loving this bread for breakfast and snacks lately! It’s swirled with cinnamon-sugar, and made with simple ingredients. It rises nicely in the oven, with a slightly crisp cinnamon top. It requires mostly just pantry staples so you can have it made from start to finish in about an hour. Easily make this recipe dairy free and vegan with your favorite dairy-free substitutes.
4. Baked Vanilla Donuts
These are our absolute favorite baked donuts! We make them at least once a week, and top them in various ways – usually with vanilla and chocolate icing (we’re a split household on chocolate/vanilla preferences), and sprinkles, of course. You can also dip them in butter and a cinnamon/sugar blend for a quicker way to serve them. I also have allergy friendly pumpkin donuts and cinnamon sugar donuts.
5. Egg Free Waffles
This easy, allergy friendly waffle recipe is made with a short list of pantry staples (and of course, no eggs). They’re so easy that they’re on regular rotation in our house. My kids call them “triangle waffles” because I use our Belgian waffle iron. Also try my eggless Pumpkin Waffles or my egg free Apple Cinnamon Waffles.
6. Egg Free Sausage Breakfast Bites
These egg free and allergy friendly sausage breakfast bites are perfect for kids. Since they’re small, they’re also great for serving alongside a brunch spread. These little bites can also be made dairy free using your favorite DF milk and vegan “cheese” shreds. See also my (eggless) Sausage Hash Brown Bites.
7. Cinnamon Apple Coffee Cake
This slightly sweet cinnamon apple breakfast cake is really more of a bread – but, bake it in a round pan and top it with a simple vanilla glaze, and it becomes breakfast cake! Bread is more fun when it’s served as a wedge and topped with icing anyway. Another excellent way to top my cinnamon apple cake is with a simple cinnamon streusel (see my Blueberry Coffee Cake for an easy way to make that)!
This breakfast cake can also easily be made vegan and dairy free by using DF milk in place of regular milk.
8. Vegan Banana Muffins
Don’t let these unassuming photos fool you… these simple egg and dairy free banana muffins really are the best! They’re excellent as part of a simple breakfast, or served as part of a brunch spread. They disappear fast!
9. Egg Free Pancakes
These are our favorite, classic egg free pancakes – my kids love them! They’re light and fluffy, and a little vanilla extract enhances the flavor. Otherwise, try my egg free oatmeal pancakes recipe for a fun twist on a classic.
10. Egg Free Blueberry Muffins (with or without streusel!)
My classic blueberry muffins are a great summer breakfast (also delicious with coffee) or served as a kids’ snack. We like to also make them into mini muffins to send to school as a snack. Try them with the optional cinnamon streusel topping for a sweeter touch!
Perhaps your family or someone you care about is managing an egg allergy or intolerance, or you’re simply out of eggs. Either way, these breakfast and brunch recipes are all egg free, and tried and true in our household. Your family and friends can enjoy a well rounded brunch spread, no eggs required!
These eggless breakfast recipes are easy to make with simple ingredients, and perfect for Sunday brunch with family and friends. We love making fun egg free breakfasts as a family on the weekends, so we’re making at least one or two of these recipes each week here. I’ve also made most of these for previous brunches, parties, and gatherings (and no one missed the eggs).
I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
