These simple, egg free Garlic Cheddar Biscuits are a great addition to any meal, and come together in a pinch. They’re savory, buttery, garlicky, and taste like they came right out of Cheddar Bay (think Red Lobster 😉 ).
My simple garlic cheese biscuits are made in a single bowl with simple ingredients from your fridge and pantry. There’s little mess, and they’re on the table in no time at all! No special trips to the grocery store required.
My cheesy garlic drop biscuits pair well with soups, salads, steak – you name it! We also like to serve these simple egg free biscuits as a tasty-for-all-ages snack at parties.
These egg free cheesy biscuits can also be modified to be gluten free. I’ve used Hungry Harry’s and Namaste GF flours to make these, and both times they turned out great! Just substitute 1:1 for the flour.
My toddler absolutely loves them! *Update – my “toddler” will now be 8 next month, and still loves them (so does his little sister).
Simple Ingredients
There is only a short and simple ingredients list to make these tasty garlic cheddar biscuits. You may even have them all on hand already!
- All Purpose Flour (or GF all purpose flour – I’ve had great luck with several brands!)
- Sugar – you may omit this, but I think it enhances the flavor
- Baking Powder
- Garlic Powder and Onion Powder
- Salt
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese – I like to use sharp cheddar
- Milk
- Butter
How to Make Garlic Cheddar Biscuits
Using a single bowl, these cheesy little drop biscuits take only a few minutes to mix up and prepare.
Stir together all of your dry pantry ingredients, then stir in the cheese shreds. Add milk and melted butter, and stir just until combined. Scoop batter onto a prepared baking sheet (a cookie scoop works great!), and bake for 9-11 minutes.
One last optional step is to brush the garlic cheese biscuits with melted butter before serving – definitely recommended. Yum!
The version above has parsley added to the batter for a pop of color. Although, I’ve found that my kids prefer it without the parsley. 😉

Making these right per Margot’s request for the “crispy biscuits that Lisa makes.” 🙂
