Looking for last-minute ideas for egg free Christmas recipes (that are also nut free)? Here are my family’s favorite recipes!
These are our go-to eggless holiday recipes that we make year after year, and have become family favorites. My list includes egg free cheesecake, cookies, bars, and even an egg free donut recipe – this list offers a little something for everyone.
My egg free cut out cookies or eggless gingerbread cookies are great for making with the kids and decorating at home. Make some simple frosting, get out the sprinkles, and have fun making a mess (and memories!). Gingerbread and sugar cookies are also our go-to egg free cookies for Santa!
Meanwhile, the eggless toffee cookie bars, cheesecake, and mini Oreo cheesecake recipes are perfect for Christmas gatherings (and they’re EASY). These recipes always please a crowd, and can be modified to your liking. When I make toffee cookie bars, I get out our seasonal sprinkles to top the melted chocolate with for a festive look.
These Soft Toffee Cookie Bars have a buttery brown sugar base that melts in your mouth, and are topped off with a layer of semi-sweet chocolate and sea salt. My recipe is egg free, nut free, and can also be made DF with substitutes.
These delicious Egg Free Gingerbread Cookies are soft, chewy, and lightly spiced. The ginger and cinnamon spiced dough comes together easily with simple ingredients, and is naturally egg free, with no special egg substitutes. Perfect for gingerbread man cookies around the holidays!
My classic Egg Free Cheesecake is rich and creamy, and requires no eggs. A traditional baked cheesecake is the perfect dessert for any holiday, and this one is very easy to make. With a hand mixer and a few basic ingredients, you can be enjoying this simple eggless cheesecake the same day! This egg free cheesecake is still baked in the oven, and sets up nicely after chilling.
These deliciously soft Egg Free Cut Out Cookies are buttery and delicious, and hold their shape well for decorating! Add sprinkles or frosting to fit your next event or party, or leave them simply coated in sugar or sprinkles. These cut out cookies require no eggs, and are peanut free and tree nut free.
Gingerbread Donuts have become an instant favorite in our house this season! Ginger and cinnamon spiced, these donuts are excellent with a simple glaze or topped with a cinnamon-sugar blend. They're naturally egg free and dairy free, and made with pantry staples in a donut pan. Please note: this is a small batch, and makes six 3 1/4" diameter donuts. If your pan is larger, you'll want to bake a little longer. The recipe is also easily doubled.
These eggless Oreo Cheesecake minis have that sweet "cookies and creme" flavor combo, packed into perfect little portions! My Oreo cheesecakes are naturally egg free, and require only a short list of basic ingredients you may already have on hand. This recipe makes 9 mini cheesecakes, but can be easily doubled to make 18.
This Cinnamon SunButter Puppy Chow with white chocolate (also known as Muddy Buddies, depending on your region) makes a delicious, easy treat. Great for parties, hanging out at home, or anywhere in between, this sweet snack has minimal ingredients and comes together quickly.
For the eggless vanilla or lemon cheesecake, I often cook some berries with a small amount of sugar and water, and swirl it into the cheesecake for a tasty twist. You could also add chocolate chips or other add-ins for your own festive variety.
My cheesecake recipes can also be doubled and baked in a 9×13″ pan, with a simple brown sugar shortbread crust (think lemon bar crust, but made with brown sugar instead of powdered sugar). If doubling, you’ll want to adjust your bake time, and keep an eye on it in the oven – however, I’ve found that the bake time is very forgiving with these recipes!
Cut-Out Cookie Tips
For the egg free cut-out cookie recipes, I always recommend chilling the dough before baking! Roll out the dough first, then chill it on the parchment paper before cutting into shapes. The dough frees more easily from the cookie cutters, and you get a cleaner shape.
Dust your cookie cutters in confectioners sugar (AKA powdered sugar) or flour before each shape. I keep a small bowl of it next to me while I work on them.
Remove cookies from the oven before they start to brown. They may not look quite done, but they will set nicely as they cool on the pan.
Cinnamon SunButter Puppy Chow Tip
Use a gallon-sized Ziploc (or similar) bag in the final stage to mix your puppy chow. This makes it easier to evenly coat each piece with less breakage.
